The screw compactor with shaft PTL model is a machine for compaction and washing of the screenings. The machine is mainly composed of a robust stainless steel cylindrical hose with a shafted spiral, which conveys the grid toward a washing chamber at high pressure and then pushes the material towards the discharge pipe. The stage of compaction is provided with washing nozzles which are able to break down the organic substances contained in the residues of screening. These liquids united those coming from the exhaust pipe are then downloaded by a drainage at the bottom of the machine.
